Advance Care Planning

Join us and Lutheran Family Services to learn about Advance Care Planning, the process of planning for the "what-ifs" that may occur across the lifespan. Natalie DeVille, LCSW, C-ASWCM, an Aging Life Care Manager, will help clarify the steps in advance care planning including assessing your values, understanding how to choose the right medical durable power of attorney, and talking with your loved ones about your wishes. In addition, she will have you consider topics such as organ donation and other after-death planning.

What to Do When Someone Dies

In this workshop, we will discuss what needs to be done in the first ten days after the death of a loved one. What documents to look for, who to notify, how to request death certificates, and more. Our goal for this workshop is to give you a framework for the first ten days, so that you are not completely unprepared. It is our hope that this will make the passing of a loved one just a little less stressful.
